Our story
After decades of working in the food industry, in both the front and back of the house, in restaurants, caterings, private homes and even makeshift outdoor camping kitchens, we realized there was something missing from the kosher culinary experience.
The clients seemed happy with the service, but the service was not up to par with the rest of the culinary world. In the kitchen, we were handed cookie cutter menus with no input or room for creativity– as if there was no room for “Heimish'' and molecular gastronomy to be savored on the same plate.
This outdated approach to kosher cuisine created a culture of less creativity, innovation, and adventure. It left us stranded in dull kitchens, serving uninteresting food, with no sense of tradition or personality. It was ultimately a mediocre experience for everyone— chefs and clients.
Happier chefs make better food.
Better food makes happier clients.
We started Kosher Chefs because we believe in the magic of the journey that starts in a kitchen and has the power to live beyond the end of a meal. We want to invite our clients to take part in this magic, and allow themselves to experience a world of delicious possibilities within their kosher lifestyle.
Our Philosophy
At Kosher Chefs we believe a great dish starts with top quality ingredients. That is why we partner with local and international farmers and food producers to source out the best products.
By utilizing the expertise of our vast network of skillful and passionate chefs from a wide variety of cultures and backgrounds, we work to open up the wide world of the culinary arts to our clients who once thought it inaccessible.
Kosher has been seen as a culinary handicap for far too long.
With every connection we strive to overturn that misconception.
Our ultimate goal as a business is to become a leader in the Kosher culinary world. We have created a company culture that prioritizes small business relationships and giving back to the communities where we work.
